Our Vegetable Garden

Work on our school / community vegetable garden has begun.  Mr Soper and Robbie have been busy clearing the area near the journal room and have started making raised vegetable gardens.   Planning and preparation is underway for plantings.

Project Gold Native Planting

As part of 'Project Gold', Room 2 helped to plant native trees along the Clyde end of the river track.
Later in the week, Tess Bunny from D.O.C. helped us to plant some more native trees in the native garden near the school hall.
 

Friday Gardening Sessions

Towards the end of summer we spent a few afternoons tidying up our school gardens.  Each house group was given a designated area of the school to take care of.

 

Getting Inspired

In term 1 the Zoe and Suntera went to an Enviroschools Hui at the Terrace School.  They came away buzzing with ideas to bring back to our school and put into action.
